1: How long is each lesson?

Each group lesson lasts 90 minutes. Private lessons last 60 minutes each.

2: How long is each course?

All of our standard courses last 40 hours. They comprise 27 lessons, each lesson lasting 90 minutes.
Therefore, if you study three times-a-week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), the course will last 9 weeks. However, if you study twice-a-week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), the course will last 13.5 weeks.

3: What time do the lessons usually take place?

Most of the courses take place during the evening, either from 17:15 – 18:45, or from 19:00 – 20:30. However, private lessons and company courses can be arranged at other times most convenient for the client.

4: How much does each course cost?

Each 40-hour English or Frencsh course costs 145 Lats (VAT not included). Latvian can be studied in small ‘shared private’ groups. Click here for more details.

5: How many students are there in each group?

The maximum group size is 11 students.

6: How do I enroll?

First of all you need to take a placement test here at Akas iela. The placement test is free and takes about 45 minutes. After taking the test, we can place you in a group which corresponds to your level. To arrange a time to take the placement test, simply phone us on 67844440.

7: Where is Lingua Franca located?

8: Can I also take private lessons?

We offer English, French, Latvian, and Russian private lessons at a time convenient for you. It is also possible to share these private lessons (see Shared Private Lessons).

9: Are all of the teachers native speakers?

All of the teachers are qualified native speakers, with substantial teaching experience.
